About this opportunity

HammondCare Braeside Hospital offers rehab, palliative care and older persons mental health services. We're searching for someone to volunteer their time to come and visit to spend time engaging with patients one-on-one in conversation and/or gentle activities including simple crafts, listening to music together, reading the newspaper/magazines and more.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination . Medical Check *. National Police Certificate *.

Successful applicants aged over 18 years old will be required to complete a national police check which HammondCare will organise and pay for. You will be required to meet our immunisation requirements, including HepB, Covid19 (Two (2) vaccinations), flu vaccinations and a blood serology test.
