Centre Cafe - Assistant
About this opportunity
Key Responsibilities • Handle cash and payments • Operating a cash till • Serving of drinks, including instant tea and coffee • Making and serving of barista style coffee (optional, on the job training provided) • Serving of Café food including but not limited to sandwiches, toasties, cakes, etc. • Restocking fridge and/or display cabinets • Keeping a safe and clean working environment
You must also have a bright, friendly disposition to fit in with the "Have a Chat" brand of the Café.
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *.
• National Volunteer Police Check
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Willingness to undertake essential training
• Operating appliances such as espresso coffee machine, sandwich press etc
• Ability to bend or crouch to place dish tray into dishwashing machine or restock
display fridge
• Ability to adjust or move objects up to 5kg in all directions
• Ability to stand for a period of time (up to two hours)
Monday to Friday, flexible four hour shifts staggered 8am - 4pm.
