Volunteer Electrician - Repair Cafe

About this opportunity

The volunteer electrical repairer would be available to repair small electrical items which are brought to the Repair Cafe by community members such as kitchen appliances, toys, electronic devices etc.

You would need to be a registered/certified electrician for insurance purposes. Chat to us if you are unsure about this!

Eastside Repair Café is held at the Warrane Mornington Neighbourhood Centre, 150a Bligh Street, Warrane from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on the last Saturday of each month. Volunteer electricians are needed approximately 1:30 - 4:30 and it’s up to you how often you would like to attend.

There are currently 2405 repair cafe’s worldwide involving 36,075 volunteers and repairing an estimated 43,290 items every month!


Additional requirements

Working with vulnerable people registration and covid vaccination preferred but not required.
The role requires a registered/certified electrician.

Last Saturday each month as frequently as you like; between 1:30 - 4:30pm or part of
