At TQN we exist to help young people and people from disadvantaged background in our community access works in construction. We do one thing, and we do it really well – building lives for the vulnerable.
Our best-practice, school-based program is proven to make positive and sustained change. Mentoring empowers young people to be resilient, connected and hopeful for the future. We match trained personnel with relevant mentors and we enable them to get their foot in the door by having a job.
Our early employment program is currently in over 10 projects across NSW and Victoria. This translates to over 35 vulnerable people matched with a qualified mentor, and we are growing each year.
- About the Role
This is a volunteer position for 5 to 10 hours per week supporting Business Development aspects of the TQN business.
You will be involved in the following tasks:
Creating and implementing sales strategies and identifying new markets to enter. Conducting market research to identify new business development opportunities. Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers via email, phone, and in-person. Coordinating and arranging client events, meetings, appointments, and conferences. Assisting with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective clients. Writing and distributing agendas, proposals, cost estimates, and briefing documents for internal and external meetings. Creating and maintaining client databases and mail lists. Tracking submitted proposals and providing feedback to management. Providing effect administrative support.
We are looking for someone who has:
Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers via email, phone, and in-person.
Genuine passion in working with and supporting young people
Relevant experience in sales and dealing with people
Prior experience in a similar roles (i.e sales, hospitality, business development, marketing)
Excellent organisation and coordination skills
High attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
Warm and polite approach with people
Prior experience in marketing space is ideal
Completion of TQN selection process
Coordinating and arranging client events, meetings, appointments, and conferences.
Conducting market research to identify new business development opportunities.
