Volunteers and Volunteers Drivers- Dept for Child Protection

Community Services Regular - more than 6 months Woodville Park SA

About this opportunity

You will only be asked to do what you are comfortable with. I work around you and your schedule which means you choose your working hours.

Tasks are (but not limited to) driving children - from infant to young adult - to and from school, appointments or access visits with their parents, all within office hours. No after hours or weekend work are expected however occasionally after hours and weekend work is available.

If you would like to volunteer with us but driving young people around is not something that you are comfortable with, let me know and we can find another way for you to contribute.

Transport is all with our new government vehicles using the resources of the department. As a volunteer, the Government Volunteer’s Insurance will cover you.

DCP reimburse mileage to and from your house to the Woodville office for all volunteers. We will also reimburse you for any meals or coffees if the volunteer is out for a defined period of time.

DCP will provide the mandatory training:

You will also need a Working With Children Check but DCP will initiate this and cover the cost.
