About this opportunity
Help keep the garden at St John of God Hospital looking fresh. Our volunteers are involved in the maintenance of what goes on outside. The generosity of our volunteers’ time makes a huge difference to how a person feels coming, staying, and going.
When you volunteer with us, you are making a meaningful contribution to your community and to families in the Midwest area.
We provide our volunteers with a meal each shift from the coffee truck!
As a Gardening Volunteer your tasks can look anything like:
- Using gardening equipment (training provided)
- Weeding and watering
- Pruning (trimming and shaping)
- Fertilizing
- Replanting
- Using machinery (training provided)
- Some cleaning; and
- Working on repairs
Hours are negotiable. Volunteers are needed at St John of God Hospital Geraldton:
- Mondays 7:00am-12:00pm
- Wednesdays 7:00am-12:00pm
- Fridays 7:00am-12:00pm
