Activities Assistant – Ingle Farm
About this opportunity
Helping Hand Ingle Farm is seeking Activities Assistants to join the Volunteer team.
Your role will be assisting to set up a variety of activities for residents, encouraging and assisting them to participate in small and large groups, and in one-on-one situations. Activities currently on offer include board and card games, bocce, floor games, a men’s shed, bingo, as well as movies and concerts. You also have the opportunity to continue to develop this successful program with new suggestions and ideas.
Ideally suited for someone who is enthusiastic and interested in working with older people, you will be supporting the Lifestyles team to deliver an inclusive and varied activities program and be part of a comfortable and welcoming home environment. All our homes are committed to COVID-19 safety protocols.
Requirement: Empathy, understanding and awareness of the needs of people with disabilities, dementia and/or ageing issues or willingness to learn.

*Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
