About this opportunity

The Western Sydney Primary Health Network is responsible for supporting and improving health services in Western Sydney.

  • It supports GPs and other health services outside of the hospital system.

  • WentWest Consumer Advisers are involved in many activities with WentWest staff

*There is a mix of virtual and in-person activities

  • Activities include think-tanks, workshops, reviewing documentation, listening to patients in GP clinics, giving feedback on new models of care.

  • Consumer Advisors are involved in improving and co-designing services to improve mental health, healthy ageing, health literacy, child and family health, living with chronic disease, sexual health and many other lived experiences.

  • If you are bilingual there are opportunities to be trained to listen to patients' stories in language most comfortable for the patient

  • While mostly we invite volunteers to join us during business hours, there may be occasions when early evening is offered, depending on availability of multiple stakeholders.
