About this opportunity
As you visit and spend time with residents in HammondCare, you may get involved with activities including morning teas, art and craft activities, and one on one social visitor interaction and life engagement. You'll have a broad interests in all things related to cooking, gardening, drawing, painting, exercise, traditional board games, jigsaws, music, dancing, animals and reading.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to residents.
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is an Australian Government initiative established to promote links between elderly people and their local community.

Additional requirements
Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *. NDIS screening check .
18 years of age • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare, NDIS Worker Screening Check • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination will be required (Two (2) doses) •
Available times are 10am-12noon or 2pm–4pm, Monday to Friday each week. But we would be happy to discuss a suitable time.
