Volunteer Journalist

About this opportunity

A volunteer, working remotely (i.e. at home, with occasional site visits to the Adelaide Park Lands) is needed to write regular illustrated news stories (one or two per month) about the people, places, and events in (and/or management of) your Open Green Public Adelaide Park Lands.

Imagery for the articles can be sourced from our library of thousands of Park Lands photos, supplemented with generic imagery available through our Shutterstock subscription, or your own photos.

Experience as a journalist (especially with political or local government news) will be highly regarded. This opportunity will suit only someone living in Adelaide or suburbs.

**Please note:**
*It’s important that organisations continue to monitor and follow the advice and guidelines of both State or Territory, and Federal Governments in relation to the latest COVID-19 requirements.
*As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance).
*Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
