Volunteer Contact Centre Agent

About this opportunity

The Contact Centre aims to provide a consistent approach in managing the intake of all programs at Whittlesea Community Connections, providing a positive communication with community members and reducing system complexity.

• Receive all inbound calls for the organization • Complete a basic intake process to identify which internal programs and services is needed • Take messages, transfer calls, liaise with staff, provide referrals • Respond to general community queries • Book appointments for community support, volunteering, legal and transport

Additional requirements

National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.

• Ability to communicate clearly, and effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and/or people with a disability
• Ability to follow procedures and ask for help where needed
• High standard of interpersonal skills
• Good computer skills - Training in the software used will be provided
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage difficult conversations with people experiencing hardship
• Administration or reception experience an advantage

Time Required

• We require a minimum 6 month commitment • Two 4 hour shift per week at a minimum • Located at Shop 111 Pacific Epping, 583 High Street Epping • Scope to work from home once training complete in agreeance with the Contact Centre Coordinator
