Community Volunteer - South Coast

Disaster Relief One off - a few hours Across: Cobargo NSW, Eurobodalla NSW, Kiah NSW, Narrabarba NSW, Towamba NSW

About this opportunity

Habitat for Humanity Australia is heading to the South Coast to assist families in need with Bushfire Recovery and we need your help (no skills required!)

The 2019 / 20 bushfires had a devastating impact for so many families that are still waiting for assistance. We will be helping families in Eurobodalla and Bega Valley over the course of three weeks in Nov/Dec. You can volunteer for one day, two days or all three weeks! It’s completely up to you.

Work will be undertaken to improve the living conditions of the family/resident we are helping.

The work will include:

Clearing areas of overgrown weeds, fencing, chopping and stacking vegetation into burn piles, repurposing plants and gardens, other jobs the owner requires at the time of our arrival.

If you have any questions or would like to know more about our involvement in Bushfire recovery on the South Coast before applying, please contact Greg Harris. Phone: 0432273237 Email [email protected]
