About this opportunity

This person will provide engagement and tutoring in computer operations, at basic and intermediate levels, for clients from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds who require support to navigate online learning platforms or for personal development.

Duties include: assessing client's computer proficiency, assessing client's need eg: for online training course, personal development, language studies and any other related tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications/Position Requirements: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Ability to develop lesson plans; Ability to resource learning materials; Ability to work in a diverse workplace; Good listening skills; A friendly personality and good interpersonal skills. The Migrant Centre prefers volunteers who have previous experience with computer training. The nature of work involves engagement with people from CALD backgrounds. The volunteer may hear personal and confidential accounts from clients.


Additional requirements

National Police Certificate *.

Previous experience with computer training is preferred.
