Assistant Boxing Coach

Midland PCYC is looking for a volunteer to help run Boxing classes at their centre.

The Midland PCYC boxing program aims to provide participants with an alternative way to work out and keep fit, whilst having fun at the same time. We are looking for a volunteer who has a passion for health and fitness and wants to be a positive role model for others.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Explain and demonstrate the correct boxing techniques
  • Setting up and packing down equipment
  • Help ensure lessons are run efficiently
  • Ensure rewarding lessons to aid in developing their skills
  • Motivate and encourage participants


Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.

Criteria:
- Experience in instructing group fitness classes
- Boxing Australia Accreditation and/or suitable experience in boxing
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Current Senior First Aid or CPR certificate (desirable)
- Experience in working with people from culturally diverse backgrounds
- Good organisational and time management skills
- National Police Clearance and Working with Children’s Check (or willing to obtain)

Time Required

1.5 hrs per week to start - Wednesdays from 530pm – 630pm and we will be expanding the schedule this year.
