About this opportunity

Under the supervision of the Volunteer Program Coordinator, the Reception volunteer will be responsible for supporting various administrative tasks and day-to-day duties for the organization.

Such responsibilities include answering all incoming calls and refer calls to appropriate staff and volunteers. The reception volunteer manages community transport requests and enters bookings on TRIPs system. They provide a friendly and courteous service to clients with effective communication regarding their trip schedule and any change with their journey.

The reception volunteer must demonstrate a commitment to serving SPDL clients and to uphold the SPDL mission. This position is ideal for an individual with strong organizational, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.

Multiple volunteers are sought for this role and the hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 12:30pm and 12:30pm to 4pm.


Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination . Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate *.

Basic IT skills (MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organisational and communication skills
Experience or interest in understanding issues among older people.

Time Required

Approximately 4+ hours, Monday to Friday 9am to 12:30pm and 12:30pm to 4pm.
