Containers for Change Volunteers - South Hedland
About this opportunity
Containers for Change is the 10c refund recycling scheme that has been introduced to Western Australia. The Care for Hedland depot receives eligible recyclables for the Hedland region, keeping them out of landfill.
In this role you will be sorting and counting eligible drink containers and providing refunds to customers. The depot received both small and large returns of containers so extra hands to help sort, count and serve the community are always welcome.
The depot is open from 8am -4pm Weekdays and 8am – 1pm Saturdays. There is no limit on the time commitment, however shifts are generally 1-3 hours long to avoid over exertion. Rosters are flexible to suit volunteer availability.
Volunteer commitment is completely dependant upon volunteer availability - you can volunteer as much or as little as you like. The depot is open from 8am -4pm Weekdays and 8am – 1pm Saturdays.
