About this opportunity

The Melbourne Mustangs Ice Hockey Club is one of eight teams in the Australian Ice Hockey League. We are looking for a Merchandise Manager who can work with our Merchandise Buyer to provide our fans and players with a range of high quality merchandise via our online store and at games.

Key areas of responsibility of the Merchandise Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of Online Store / EBay
  • Packing and postage of online orders
  • Packing and delivery of pick up orders to OBGA for Game Day collection
  • Liaise with OBGA in regards to merchandise, stock and invoicing
  • Work with Game Day sales team to make sure all required stock is available for sale
  • Stock management and control of stock across multiple locations
  • Monthly stocktakes and reporting to be presented to committee
  • Work with Merchandise Buyer to develop and grow range of merchandise
  • Work with Merchandise Buyer to make sure stock holdings are at required levels

Accountabilities

  • Overview of tasks
  • Current Merchandise Management
  • Manage current stock levels
  • Manage online store, including fulfillment of orders and uploading new items to the store
  • Manage online and game day auctions as these occur throughout the season
  • Liaise with game day sales staff to make sure that needed merchandise range and quantities are made available to them
  • Liaise with Merchandise Buyer about current stock and needed stock as well as aiding in the development of merchandise range
  • Liaise with OBGA to ensure that merchandise levels are maintained within the Arena
  • New Merchandise Development in partnership with Merchandise Buyer
  • Investigate ideas for new merchandise idea options, drawing on a range of sources

Media and Marketing

  • Liaise with Marketing Department to ensure that relevant merchandise events and activities are adequately promoted to fans. This includes sales, new merchandise and merchandise for specific events

Game Day

  • Liaise with Game Day sales team to ensure that all needed merchandise is made available to them
  • Ensure all Game day pick up orders are easily accessible to customers
  • Administrative Services
  • Attend all Committee Meetings and produce a concise and meaningful report of the items achieved during the previous month including detailed stocktakes of all merchandise across multiple locations

Time Required

Four hours per week, plus attendance at Mustangs Games at Icehouse Docklands.
