Cadet Firefighter
About this opportunity
Being an emergency services junior/cadet gives young people the opportunity to learn valuable skills and develop attributes such as leadership, teamwork, self-reflection, initiative and self-discipline in a supportive environment.
Juniors/Cadets are offered real opportunities to apply the skills and knowledge they have gained through emergency services training. Community engagement builds their understanding of the benefits of being active citizens and promotes a positive attitude of community responsibility and service towards preventing and preparing for emergencies and disasters.
Cadets training runs from April to October each year. Training is held on Wednesday nights fortnightly. Times 5.45pm to 8.00pm.
Additional requirements
Cadets will need to make their own way to the Fire Station and be collected by a parent or guardian.
