Cafe Staff - Rowes Bay - Townsville
About this opportunity
Bolton Clarke has provided healthcare and aged care services for more than 200 years. We are one of the largest Australian owned and operated not-for-profit healthcare and independent living service providers, with a passion for ensuring our customers live the best possible life.
We are looking for staff to run our Cafe at Rowes Bay between 9am and 12 noon during the week and on the weekend. Any time you can volunteer for us during this time would be greatly appreciated.
Duties include:
- Serving hot and cold food
- Making toasted sandwiches
- Cleaning
- Rotating stock
- Money handling
- Activity and shopping assistance
Our volunteers will be required to have patience, work unsupervised after appropriate training is provided, and the ability to follow all policies and procedures.
The government has recently changed vaccine requirements for aged care volunteers and workers. Volunteers must have at least one COVID 19 vaccination shot by 17th September. Additionally, they have strongly recommended disability support workers/volunteers get their COVID shots, and will consider making it mandatory by October 31st.

Additional requirements
Covid-19 vaccination . Flu vaccination . National Police Certificate *.
Be able to make coffee, tea, run the toasted sandwich press and enjoy talking with our residents. It is also mandatory for all Volunteers to have the Covid Vaccination to be able to volunteer within an Aged Care Facility.
