About this opportunity

~ Do you want to make a difference in the lives of people with a mental illness or disability? ~ Are you interested in a volunteering opportunity that is a statutory three year appointment by the Governor and also personally challenging and rewarding? ~ Do you know someone who you think would be interested in this role? ~ People with lived experience of mental illness or disability are encouraged to apply.

The Community Visitor Scheme is seeking volunteers who are passionate about protecting the rights of people with a mental illness or disability and improving the care and treatment provided to them.

The Community Visitor Scheme is your opportunity to provide much needed support and advocacy to people with a mental illness or disability. Relevant training and ongoing support, including financial support, is provided to all volunteers appointed to the role.

Opportunities available in all areas of metropolitan Adelaide.

~ Good communication skills.
~ A desire to help individuals through advocacy.
