Food Hamper Delivery Driver
About this opportunity
Each day Theodora’s Cheerful Givers food-bank receives telephone calls from people in need of emergency food relief. Orders are taken and volunteers in the food-bank area pack food-hampers according to the family-size requesting the food relief. Packed food-hampers are set aside awaiting delivery at nominated times. Volunteer Delivery Drivers are given a list of addresses to which food-hampers are to be delivered. Food-hampers and frozen meals (stored in Eskys) are loaded into the Delivery Driver's vehicle. The Delivery Driver delivers the food-hampers and frozen meals to the nominated addresses. On arrival at each address, the Delivery Driver verifies that there is someone at home to receive the food-hampers and frozen meals and leaves them at the front door. If no one is home, the food-hampers and frozen meals are returned to the food-bank. When the list of deliveries have been completed, the Delivery Driver returns to the food-bank to confirm deliveries made.

Driver's Licence (C) .
Volunteer Drivers are required to use their own vehicles for delivery of food-hampers. Fuel expenses incurred by volunteers will be reimbursed, on presentation of dockets.
4 hours a day (Start time negotiable.)
