About this opportunity
The Toy Library has been operational for over 40 years within Ballarat. We are a 100% volunteer service run entirely by members for members, providing the Ballarat and wider regional communities with an extensive collection of toys and educational experiences focusing but not limited to birth-8 years.
Currently over a hundred families use our service and we are open Tuesday and Sunday mornings as well as providing a Click and Collect Service which has come about due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
The Toy Library ethos is deeply rooted in providing a way for individuals to become part of a like-minded community offering qualities toys at a fraction of the price of buying new, with the added bonus of having a positive environmental impact. Our moto is “Playing to learn, Playing for fun, A year’s worth of toys for the price of just one!”
We have a small committee consisting of a President, Treasurer, Secretary and four other committee members. A commitment to a 12-month contract if possible would be ideal.
The responsibilities of the role include:
Overseeing the complete running of the Toy Library.
Working closely with the Treasurer to track all monies incoming and outgoing, e.g memberships, rent etc.
Working closely with the Secretary to understand and keep up-to-date on all Policies and Procedures including Toy Library Australia guidelines.
Liaising with both the CEO and Reception of BGT (building owners). Conducting committee meetings (monthly) AGM (Annually).
Keeping track of stock and the overall presentation of the Library.
