Family Services Regular - more than 6 months Nedlands WA

About this opportunity

As a member of our Green Team, you will be responsible for taking care of the front garden, rear outdoor space/secret garden, roof top garden, parents retreat and driveyway and basement.

Duties will involve:

  • Raking
  • Watering
  • Cleaning/wiping
  • Clearing rubbish
  • Emptying bins
  • Tendering to plants
  • Ensuring the basement is tidy
  • Clearing cobwebs
  • Sweeping outdoor areas

Your role may consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

Thorough clean of quiet lounges including kitchenettes, polishing, vacuuming & replenish supplies. Domestic kitchen/dining area – regular wipe down and ensure free from clutter. Clean recreation room and gym including all equipment, glass etc. Play room – general tidy up, vacuum and wipe glass. Vacuum hall ways. Empty bins. Ensure communal areas are constantly tidy. Re-stock all supplies. Polish windows/sills/handles. Clean lockers/storage units.

We understand this role may not be the most glamourous, but we are certainly grateful to those who put their hand up to get stuck in and ensure we provide a comfortable and clean environment for our families.


Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination .

Volunteers will be required to complete a police clearance (RMHC WA to arrange) and hold a current Working with Children Check.
We also have a variety of mandatory online training and data compliance.
All volunteers must be aged 18+.

Time Required

We like to have one Green Team member attend our Nedlands house each day - times are flexible to suit the volunteer for a 2-3 hour shift.

Reimbursement

RMHC WA volunteers can access the QEII multi-deck car park whilst on shift - RMHC WA covers this expense.
