About Fundraising and Events Volunteers

This role reports to and is supported by the Wollongong Regional Representative, who manages the Regional Team. You will take part in a wide range of fundraising activities including festivals, markets and quiz nights.

Your main task is to encourage people to take out orangutan adoptions, buy merchandise, or donate to orangutan care and rainforest conservation. You'll also help people understand the threats facing orangutans and the vital role TOP plays.

As part of a friendly team of volunteers, you can also get involved in helping to plan and coordinate our events, while learning new skills in fundraising, event management, and customer service. You'll also learn all about how TOP is helping save critically endangered species and rainforests.

This is a fun and exciting role where you can spread your wings while raising funds to save orangutans and forests in Sumatra and Borneo.

You are a good communicator and like getting out and about in your community. You have time and energy to work at markets and festivals, and you want to make a difference by volunteering with an environmental charity. You enjoy working with others and thrive in busy environments.

Experience Any experience in retail or customer service work would be very useful.

Whether you're new to events and fundraising or not, this role will be a great step in your career and will give you experience and skills to help you achieve your goals.
