About this opportunity
Bucklands Wellbeing Centre is located at Port Elliot and with the help of volunteers, plans to establish a range of programs to benefit the community. The centre has several volunteer positions for gardening and general maintenance of 7 acres of grounds which includes cottage gardens, formal gardens, play grounds, lawn, wetlands, woodlands and native bird corridors. Duties will include general gardening activities, weeding spraying and pulling, mowing, pruning, trimming, “whipper snippering”, general handyperson tasks and manual handling with some heavy lifting involved.
Additional requirements
Heavy Lifting . National Police Certificate *.
Previous experience in a gardening or maintenance roles would be an asset, but not essential.
On the job training will be provided. Volunteers will require a DCSI “working with children” clearance from the end of 2020.
Shift available between 9am Wednesdays to 6pm Thursdays.
