The Admin Assistant will perform a variety of tasks depending on project deadlines in the Fundraising Team at Wesley Mission. This position would suit an individual who has administrative skills, wants experience in the not-for-profit sector and has a genuine interest in fundraising and making a difference in the community.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Data entry - Compiling mailing lists - Updating spreadsheets and other documents as required - Internet research for specific projects - Filing - Follow up calls to individual donors and other supporters - Other day to day administrative duties as required and directed by Supervisor
Requirement: - Present a professional appearance and a friendly manner - Be reliable, dependable and punctual - Be courteous and personable when dealing with the public - Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented - Respect and maintain confidentiality of Wesley Mission donors, corporate partners and other stakeholders - Computer skills – Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)- - Have experience in data entry with strong attention to detail - Have experience in standard office administrative practices and procedures - Have accurate record keeping skills - Proven ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a team member
