Kangaroo Care Volunteer - Hedland
About this opportunity
Lisa’s Kangaroo Retreat rescues, rehabilitates and releases wildlife, including injured and orphaned joeys, kangaroos, wallabies, possums and other animals.
Volunteers are needed to help with feeding of joeys via bottles, making kangaroo milk, cleaning and caring for joeys.
Tasks may include:
- Feeding of joeys via bottles
- Making kangaroo milk
- Feeding chaff and muesli to larger kangaroos
- Cleaning up after feeding and sweeping
- Caring for smaller joeys
Volunteers must be over the age of 16 unless accompanied by an adult.
Additional requirements
Volunteers are required to make their own way to and from the Kangaroo Retreat in Redbank.
Time Required
Volunteers can volunteer any day of the week for a two hour block, either in the morning or late afternoons.
