About this opportunity
Tuart Place is a NFP located in the West End of Fremantle that provides support, counselling, social services and other resources for seniors who have been in out of home care during their childhoods. The seniors that come in often live alone and social connection is important to them. They would be grateful for someone to give them a haircut, a little pampering with a face mask, or a simple manicure once or twice a month (or even on a more casual basis). We have a strong community that supports our participants at Tuart Place, and we are looking for volunteers to help us provide another important service promoting good health and wellbeing while making the seniors feel special.
Additional requirements
National Police Certificate *.
Skills and experience in beauty therapy or hairdressing qualifications would be handy for this position.
As well as a friendly, caring, and helpful attitude. Please note all our volunteers do require police clearance.
We are open on Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 9am to 4.30pm. The key time that people drop in to the centre is between 10am and 2pm
