Radio Reading Program Volunteer

Arts & Culture Regular - more than 6 months Esperance WA

About this opportunity

103.9HopeFM has a range of RPH Radio Reading programs.

Readers record local news articles, magazine articles, books for children, non-fiction books and books for adults (in particular - books by local authors and books about Esperance.)

Our Radio Reading program can expand dependent upon volunteer numbers. We follow the RPH protocols, hence are able to read just about any print media on radio. Many people in our community who are not print challenged, have also said they just really like being read to. We can provide training and equipment for you to record in your own home and send recorded articles to 103.9HopeFM to be broadcasted.

The time required is up to you, but often about an hour a week is the shortest amount of time required to record an article, do any editing required and send to 103.9HopeFM. The more articles, the more time required.

In addition to regular reading (or this might be your chosen role) We are looking to have books and articles for particular celebration days (e.g. Easter, ANZAC day, Mothers Day etc.)

If you would like to participate but only on occasion, this option is available too.
