Community Visitor Volunteer, Fleurieu Peninsula - Lutheran Care
About this opportunity
At Lutheran Care, we believe our communities are stronger when each and every person feels included and cared for. Whoever you are, wherever you come from, we will walk side by side with you. Our team of more than 400 staff and volunteers proudly deliver over 50 programs to communities across Adelaide, the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills and Central Australia. We are a dynamic and inclusive workplace, where you can enjoy volunteering as part of a team who are driven by serving others.
By volunteering as a Community Visitor you will provide friendship and conversation to socially isolated elderly individuals or small groups to help connect, share and celebrate life experiences. You will be non-judgemental and welcoming to people from all cultures and backgrounds and the ability to be flexible. Time commitment is approx. 1 hour per fortnight, either in the client’s own home or in residential care. We have multiple opportunities for people to join our team in the Fleurieu Peninsula.
