About this opportunity
The Pet Owners Support Network is a program offered by the (NGO) Gymea Community Aid and Information Services Inc. We understand the special companionship bonds between people and their pets and support this as a way of keeping people connected with the community, whilst maintaining independence at home. The program provides a service to members in our community, over the age of 65. Volunteers assist with basic pet care support: assist with dog walking; assist with day to day pet care hygiene (cats/dogs/birds/rabbits); basic grooming needs; transport assistance to vet appointments.
Ideally you can volunteer 2 hours per week with a commitment to a minimum 3 month period. Consistency of volunteering in this space is important to help build meaningful community connections.
