About this opportunity
Contribute to training programs at the Police Academy and other locations. Support courses like Cadet, Detective, Call Centre and Communication Centre training. As well as contributing to Mounted Operations (our horses) and Star Force training. Annually there is a combined emergency training exercise involving, SAPOL, Ambulance, Metropolitan Fire Service and other Security Services as required.
All applicants are required to be over 18 years of age, Australian Citizen or a residency visa of not less than 2 years. Access to transport either public or private. Selection is subject to probity and integrity checks. Note: SAPOL is covered by SAICorp Insurance.

* As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance).
* Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
