About this opportunity
Working as part of a team of volunteers, you will provide customer service and sales assistance at the Noffs Opportunity Shop. Day-to-day tasks can include; advising customers of pricing, entering all takings in to the cash register, clothes and goods sorting, and ensuring the facility is clean and tidy.
Responsibilities and duties include: • Advising customers on the price and care of goods available from the store, with the aim of encouraging them to buy and to return to buy in the future • Operating a cash register and accepting EFTPOS payment • Packaging goods for customers after sale • Pricing, stacking, displaying items for sale, and keeping the store tidy and attractive • Being aware of health, safety and welfare issues and practices Essential Requirements: • Enjoy working with people • Friendly and confident manner with a pleasant personality • Being able to work without direct supervision • Able to clearly present product information • Good personal presentation • Excellent communication skills. • A helpful & courteous manner • Ability to deal accurately with money • Willing to work as part of a team.
