Would you like to assist the Head Trainer with games day medical support, including pre and post game care?
A minimum qualification needed is first aid or a nursing qualification, as you must be able to apply basic taping, wound management, medical conditions and injury prevention/management.
Good communication skills and the ability, under direction, to tell players and officials what processes need to be followed is really important.
Duties:
- Maintain current certification and keep it up to date by renewing certification after 3 years.
- Provide games day medical support, this includes both pre and post-game care.
- Follow the code of conduct associated with the medical treatment of coaching staff, officials and players.
- Provide reports to coaching staff on the current state of player injuries.
- Have an awareness of the appropriate ambulance access plan for home and away games.
Qualifications:
- The minimum qualification that is needed is provide first aid, or qualifications as a qualified nurse. (If there is not a Level 1 trainer at the club then a minimum of a level 1 training qualification is needed).
Skills:
- Must have knowledge of providing first aid and providing life support and other essential information that is involved in the treatment and care of injured players. (This includes basic taping, wound management, medical conditions and injury prevention/management).
- Will be able to coordinate and motivate a team of trainers.
- Have strong organisational and communication skills
- Need to have confidence to be able to tell players and officials what processes need to be followed.
No experience is necessary

National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.
All persons involved in the junior (under 18) players (and shall include as a minimum all Coaches, Trainers, Team Managers and may extend to Club Secretaries and Football Managers) MUST have a police check.
