About United Way WA
At United Way WA our vision is a future where every person is empowered to grow, through education, financial stability and healthy living; the building blocks to a happy life. We tackle entrenched community issues by building a strategic network of local organisations from communities, government, business, non-profits and schools. Our mission is to create long-lasting change by addressing the underlying causes of complex social problems together.
UWWA focuses on three pillars of financial stability, education and healthy living and how complex issues around these topics present in our society.
Currently, there are an estimated 1.5 million Australians living in a state of chronic or persistent disadvantage and research shows that this number is likely to keep increasing without comprehensive and targeted early intervention programs.
• Financial Stability; to ensure access to education and achieve general health standards
• Education; literacy and access to education
• Healthy Living; access to health services and healthy choices
