About Enough is Enough Anti Violence Movement Inc.

Enough is Enough was born out of tragedy in 1994, following the murder of university student, Michael Marslew. Michael’s father saw the need for a holistic approach to reforming society’s attitude to violence through education, understanding and practical strategies. It has established itself on the highest ideals of human behaviour and goes about its important work in a positive and pro active manner.

The organisation’s initial focus was to support the needs of Victims of Crime, Violence, Road Trauma and Antisocial Behaviour. Once Enough is Enough was firmly established and began to evolve, it sought ways of stopping people from becoming victims in the first place.

This led the organisation into working with schools, youth at risk, juvenile justice centres, adult correctional centres and the broader community. What a journey! Enough is Enough began pushing the boundaries and still does. Its aim is to address the causes of violence and antisocial behaviour, not put ‘band aids’ on the problem.

Enough is Enough is involved in legislative change related to victims, justice and the legal process. The organisation is represented on boards and committees such as Attorney General’s Victims Advisory Board, Sentencing Council, Corrective Services Restorative Justice Advisory Committee, and Victim’s Support Australasia. The organisation also has working relationships with a variety of government and non government agencies.
