Broome Volunteer Sea Rescue Group (Inc)

About Broome Volunteer Sea Rescue Group (Inc)

Broome Volunteer Sea Rescue Group is located approximately 2,200 kilometres north of Perth in Western Australia, operating from the Port of Broome.

We give our time for training, patrols, assistance and educating the general boating public and of course for the vital role of search and rescue - our members do not get paid, with the work all being carried out voluntarily. We come from all walks of life, and with varying levels of boating experience.

The group was formed in 1996 and comprises a collection of hard working volunteers dedicated to the safety of lives at sea. The group is fully accredited with the WA Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA) and provides a high quality rescue service to the recreational and commercial maritime community of Broome.
