Greenway Tenants Group Inc

1. We are a registered Charity and have receipt status

2. The Greenway Tenant’s group operate the Greenway Community Centre. We have approximately 1,000 residents using our facilities each month.

3. There are 309 units in our complex in Kirribilli.

4. Most of the resident’s are over the age of 70

5. The complex opened in 1954 and was owned and operated by Land and Housing Corporation.

6. We distribute 140 Bags of OzHarvest food to our needy residents each week.

7. The Community Centre is the life blood of our Community.

8. Recently we built a purpose built Men’s Shed from a Government Grant and Donations from private companies. Currently we have 18 members.

9. It is our intention to have an operational Wellbeing Centre operating this year to provide health facilities to our residents, helping them to remain in their own residence longer.

10. We are still a Government owned complex, although recently the responsibility for operation was leased to St George Community Housing.
