"Cookhouses n Tanks a Lot" program is a partnership with villages in Papua New Guinea to provide clean drinking water and communal cookhouses.It was launched in 2015 and has provided building materials, tanks, stoves, sinks and furniture for 4 cookhouses. They are in 4 Highlands provinces. Australian contributions are well matched by the PNG donation of volunteer labour. Australian volunteers recondition tools for them. A PNG local coordinator assists the village women in developing skills learning programs in those centres. The program also seeks to better inform Australian audiences on contemporary life and progress in Papua New Guinea.
