About Wildlife Preservation Society Of Queensland

Wildlife Queensland is community environmental organisation with a deep passion for wildlife and conservation. We have been driven to help the environment for over 57 years. Wildlife Queensland is ‘Your Voice for your Wildlife’’. We speak out against those who are intent on destroying wildlife habitat: by monitoring wildlife populations we draw attention to their plight and by consulting with government departments we make our views known at every level.
As a state-wide organisation, we work in cooperation with the government, business and other conservation groups to develop policies to ensure the protection of our state’s natural heritage such as the Great Barrier Reef, mallee country, rivers and catchments, rainforests, mangrove and other coastal ecosystems. Our current projects are: gliders (nestbox monitoring); platypus eDNA; Richmond birdwing butterfly and eastern spotted-tailed quolls.
