Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute

The Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute (IHMRI) is a not-for-profit charity that supports health and medical researchers in the Illawarra-Shoalhaven region of New South Wales, Australia. We bring scientists, doctors and health professionals together to solve our greatest health challenges through research. Together we are striving to find better ways to prevent and treat disease and illness such as cancer, diabetes, mental illness and dementia.
The local community play a huge role in the work we do and the direction our research takes. to better connect with our local community we would like to hold and attend more events and are looking to involve community members on a volunteer basis to help us achieve this.
