About The Australian Ice Hockey League

Founded in 2000, the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) is Australia's premier men’s ice hockey league. The AIHL consists of 8 teams across Australia (Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne (2), Canberra, Sydney (2) and Newcastle) featuring local Australian athletes and up to 4 import players. The AIHL showcases 115 regular season and playoff games annually from April through September.

The AIHL is a not for profit organization that is administered by its own independent volunteer board of directors. The AIHL is also a member of Ice Hockey Australia, which is a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation.
