About The Lab Network
The Lab is a mentored after school program for young people 10-16 with high functioning autism who enjoy computer games and coding. Young people with high functioning autism or Asperger's Syndrome have very low rates of engagement with education and employment because of the difficulties they encounter in the developing social skills. The Lab provides a supportive social environment where kids can explore their technology interests and mix with others with the same interests. The Lab Network provides administration, governance, marketing and recruitment support to the growing network of 20 Lab venues around Australia. Last year more than 500 participants attended over 800 sessions around the country.
