GetUp (Cunningham Action Group)

GetUp Cunningham action group is the local chapter of GetUp's national action network. We’re a team of volunteers who share a passion for pursuing environmental justice, human rights, democracy and economic fairness.

We are working to 'activate' more of the almost 8,000 GetUp members in our electorate, welcome new members, and - most importantly - to create change in our world by campaigning on the issues we care about.

In 2018 our primary campaigns include #StopAdani, Refugees, #DefendDemocracy (opposing the 'charity-gag' Bill), and a bold economic fairness campaign (yet to be launched).

We welcome all volunteers who share these values. We offer both long and short-term opportunities, for people with a lot or a little to give. We provide training and support, opportunities to influence local and national campaigns, a high level of autonomy, good company and a positive volunteering environment.
