About The Catholic Diocese of Maitland Newcastle

The Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle represents the Catholic Church in a region extending from Lake Macquarie to Taree and as far inland as Merriwa and Murrurundi. A diocese is simply a community of Christ's faithful - it represents a portion of the people of God in a particular area, which is entrusted to a bishop. Agencies of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle include Catholic Schools, CatholicCare, CDF, Child Protection, Marriage Tribunal, Children's Ministries, Seasons for Growth and St Nicholas Early Education.

CatholicCare Social Services Hunter- Manning is a not for profit organisation and a mission and outreach agency of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. Our services include; child and family services, disability support, mental health services and counselling. CatholicCare currently operates across five sites in the Hunter-Manning and we are committed to delivering services in line with our three pillars of Unity, Quality and Sustainability
