About Girl Guides Victoria - Eastern Region

Volunteering with Girl Guides Victoria provides women with an opportunity to give back and share their wealth of experience with girls who will be tomorrow’s leaders.

Volunteers are the backbone of the Guiding Movement! As a volunteer organisation we are reliant on our members and supporters to provide their time and expertise to deliver the Australian Guide Program. We are extremely grateful for our volunteers, their extraordinary loyalty and the support they give to girls and young women.

Our core program is designed to develop leadership skills and opportunities for girls and young women aged 5 – 17 years. We open up a new way for girls to become a vital part of their community through challenges and meaningful community service that stimulates self-discovery and develops self-confidence.

In order to provide girls with a vast array of opportunities Girl Guides Victoria welcomes new volunteers to the many and varied roles which are available throughout the organisation. There are many ways you can contribute ranging from being a Unit Leader to helping with your local Unit’s weekly shopping.
