About this opportunity
Just a few hours each fortnight can make a wonderful difference to an elderly resident feeling isolated and alone. Visiting a resident in their home for a chat and a cuppa or taking them on a short outing to the shops or library will provide valuable support and friendship. Volunteers must be friendly, outgoing and have a lot of patience.
Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate *.
Candidates will need Drivers Licence (C) and National Police Certificate. Volunteers need to be reliable as clients look forward to the visits. They must also have a level of flexibility and possess an empathy for the elderly. This role will allow volunteers to 'make a difference'
