The established Board is looking to appoint an experienced Chair to lead the organisation and Board of Directors when the current Chair steps down around June 2024.

That is where A Sound Life comes in - we do all the legwork to make it easy for you to simply turn up and perform your music either live over Zoom or directly to patients by their bedside in hospitals. Our next Musician Training Day is happening on Sunday, July 28 from 10am-3pm at Together2, Rozelle in Sydney and via Zoom.

We are looking for an compassionate volunteer who can take our lonely client out once a week. Our client loves the beach and would like someone to drive her to the beach from her house once a week. she is full of life and still wants to remain active.

Our Community Connections program supports our clients in Perth metropolitan and some regional locations who are at risk of feeling lonely or isolated, by providing them with social visits. As a Community Connections Volunteer, you play a key role in helping clients reconnect with their local community and encouraging them to do the things they love.
The Sound Mentoring Program provides music mentorship to at-risk young people, helping them to achieve their potential as artists and human beings. Come and join us as mentor! We will provide you with training in mentorship and team you up with a mentee based on your existing skillset. Music mentoring is hugely fulfilling journey that can transform not just your life, but the life of a young person in need of confidence, positive role models and an outlet for their creativity.

Get active and help our local birds, plants and wildlife. This is your opportunity to make a difference by helping take care of bush surrounding a significant area of saltmarsh on the Lane Cove River. The work involves weeding and watching the native bush recover. We meet every Saturday morning 8.00am to 10:30am and are supported Lane Cove National Park. Apply now to make a difference caring for valuable bushland in our local area.
This bushcare group is supported by Lane Cove National Park and Macquarie University. It meets on the third Saturday morning of each month so our next date will be June 15. Work is along Mars Creek, a hidden gem of the Lane Cove National Park and involves removing weeds so that native plants will regenerate, improving the biodiversity of the park.
Lane Cove National Park has a thriving Bushcare Program running under the supervision of a National Parks Bushcare Coordinator. There are groups currently working on different days, from every week to once a month, and they welcome new members. Work is in the bush, removing weeds so that native plants will regenerate, improving the biodiversity of the park.
