  • Engage with a diverse group of Clients/Participants in games, conversations, and enjoyable activities within our Social Support Group setting at Seymour Health.
  • Provide a welcoming and friendly presence, offering support and encouragement to Clients/Participants throughout their time with us.
  • Assist with meal service as directed by staff, ensuring recipients' dietary needs and preferences are accommodated.
  • Uphold a culture of care and respect by treating all recipients, visitors, staff, and fellow volunteers with compassion, dignity, and empathy at all times.
  • Adhere to Seymour Health's Occupational Health and Safety Policies, regulations, and safe work procedures to ensure a secure environment for all. Promptly report any potential hazards or incidents.
  • Safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of care recipients, maintaining their personal information with the utmost discretion.
  • Maintain open communication with program staff to ensure effective coordination and support for all participants.

Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination . Flu vaccination . National Police Certificate *.

All applicants are required to undergo a Volunteer Recruitment process including Interview, Reference, Police Check and Group Training provided by Seymour Health.

Time Required

Visit our Group for about an hour or two every one to two weeks. Day and time arranged to suit both the client and Volunteer.
