Art Workshops Assistant

About this opportunity

The Campbelltown ArtHouse is a community-managed art gallery and workshop space, within the Campbelltown council area of Adelaide. In 8 years it has created an inclusive and welcoming environment for people of all ages, amateur and professional artists and beginners thinking about tapping into their creative gifts. An annual program of group exhibitions and workshops provide opportunities for creative growth and accomplishment. Key duties include:

  • ● Assisting with setup and pack up of workshops ● Ensuring presentation of the gallery and exhibition space is maintained by prompt and efficient pack-down and cleaning after workshop sessions ● Assisting with administrative tasks before, during and after workshops ● Attending to light cleaning and report maintenance issues when necessary ● Being courteous and helpful to clients, volunteers and members, treating everyone with dignity and respect and as an individual with value and worth.

Key skills and experience required are:

● Passion for community and visual arts ● Administrative skills and experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel ● Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills and networking ● Ability to work flexible hours based on venue requirements ● A collaborative working style and in a hands-on capacity ● Excellent interpersonal skills


Additional requirements

National Police Certificate *. Working with Vulnerable People Check .
